Consumer Gateway
One of AREA’s most important tasks is to preserve the integrity of the Renewable Energy industry’s hard-won image, and help protect consumers from fraud and misinformation. As the solar market matures in Arkansas, there have been reports of unsubstantiated performance claims from particular firms. We must remember how the solar market crashed in the 1980s due to abusive and short-sighted contractors, and protect our fragile regional industry from the same fate. AREA encourages its membership and the industry at large to be aware of short-sighted and self-destructive sales practices.
See NREL-IMBY, an industry-standard tool for performance calculations on typical solar PV or wind systems. Report abusive practices and exaggerated claims with our contact us form here.
